Ieee 1394 Firewire Adapter
Is there a Thunderbolt to IEEE 1394 adapter? I would like to connect my soundcard (which uses IEEE 1394) to my mac (which has thunderbolt) When I google Thunderbolt to 1394 adapter I see images of them, but at the store it tries to give me other thunderbolt to firewire adapters which have a different shaped plug. The problem was with the Windows 10, 7, Windows 8 and 8.1 FireWire driver (a.k.a. The 1394 Driver) and the fix was a simple one. For Windows 7, just use the Legacy driver. Just follow the instructions below. If you are on Windows 10, or 8 or 8.1 you will need to download the Legacy driver from Microsoft.
