I can't play any of the two KOTOR-games. When I load a save or start a new game from the main menu, the game crashes, and I get a 'Knights of the Old Republic has stopped working'-error.

Stilll, the game does not work. IMPORTANT: By 'the game does not work' I mean that it crashes right after character creation. I have also tried renaming the.bik files. I play games old and new on my computer, so I really don't think it is my computer that is the problem. I have also tried downloading varios patches for KotOR 2.
I have no mods installed, I tried reinstalling the games, and I have not messed with any files, except doing.
