For Destiny 2 on the PlayStation 4, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'I need a kinetic weapon attack +5 mod. How can I get one?' Destiny 2: Everything you need to know about armor, weapons, and infusion. As you can see above it has a base Power of 150 with a +5 weapon attack mod.
In, Mods provide useful effects and modifiers to your weapons and armor. For example, you can install Mods that allow you to reload your kinetic weapons faster, absorb more damage, change a gun's elemental properties, or even recharge grenades faster. These effects can positively impact your ability to survive in a tense firefight. To help familiarize you with Mods, we've detailed below how to get Mods and the best practices of using them. Be wary, there are slight spoilers below. For more guides for the game, including breakdowns of the three classes, along with our skill and ability galleries for the various subclasses, for more information on what's happening in the online world of the Guardians. Why Are Mods Useful?Aside from enhancing your equipment, Mods allow you to tailor your weapons or armor to better suit a specific playstyle.
With Mods, you can craft multiple sets to use for different gameplay situations. For example, you might create one that emphasizes on enhancing mobility, one that improves your subclass, or even one made specifically for Raids. Mods are useful modifiers that can heavily increase your chances of survival. How Do I Get Mods?During the main campaign, you can acquire Mods out in the field or by turning in Bright Engrams to the Eververse. You can equip them by entering the Details screen of a weapon or armor piece in the character screen. Like weapons, Mods come in Epic (Blue) and Legendary (Purple) categories. After you beat the game, you're also able to buy Mods by turning in Gunsmith Materials to Banshee-44.
In order to get Gunsmith Materials, simply dismantle any unwanted weapons or armor in your inventory. It's ideal to try to find the weapons and armor pieces that you enjoy using before installing any Mods as once you put them in you won't be able to get them back unless you buy/trade/craft them. Which Mods Should I Use?As mentioned in our, it's useful to buy Epic Mods from Banshee-44 because once your power level hits 280, you can then trade in three of them for a Legendary Mod. The benefit to using Legendary mods is that you can gain five points of power towards kinetic weapons, energy weapons, and power weapons. In addition, you can gain five additional points of power towards your armor pieces alongside any special effects they might have. This helps you push your power level over the 280 mark. It's important to note that despite using Mods to enhance your power level, your weapon and armor drops will scale accordingly to your base power level stats. Don't expect to get powerful equipment just because you've artificially upgraded your power level; though, it's possible to get lucky and get higher powered equipment. How Do I Create Powerful Mods? You can trade in two Mod Components and 1,000 glimmer to Banshee-44 to create a random new Legendary weapon or armor Mod.
To get a Mod Component, you need to dismantle other Legendary mods. For example, you can do this to get a Legendary Kinetic mod that gives 5 more power to kinetic weapons.

Happy birthday!' )to have it displayed like this. Alright, I was buying a lot of blue mods to try to craft a purple weapon mod for my primary so I wasn't bound to a exotic primary for getting to max light.
But the gunsmith didn't give any blue kinetic mods.So here is the solution. Break down 2 legendary mods of any kind, then trade them in for a weapon attack mod + 1000 glimmer. Has a chance of dropping Kinetic, Void, Solar and Arc mods. This way you can infuse exotics into legendaries, without sacrificing the +5 light from the mods exotics come with.EDIT: Do not do this until you hit 280, that is when you have a unlimited supply of purple mods.TL;DR: Break down legendary mods, trade in 2 modkits and 1000 glimmer for weapon attack mod at the gunsmith. No worries, probably worth a mention that the gunsmith has a chance to give you legendary gear mods as well.
A lot of people check the main loot when handing in weapon parts but forget or miss the mods in the inventory. If you have any sat in there pick a legendary you like and stick the mod on it.Once you start getting the mods on your level goes up quick. Once you get to 273-274 your legendary engrams will drop at 267, so infuse the 267 ones into your modded 270 legendaries to get 272's across the board.
By this point you'll have had a few exotics and if not done yet, do the mida/rat king/sturm quests as these reward a legendary that drops 5-6 levels higher than normal. When i say check all legendaries i really mean all as well. I had a 262 i got at level 19-20 that contained a +5 mod and o almost sharded it. Infused a 265 into that bad boy to make it a 270!. The Powerful Rewards help a lot, as do exotic quests.
For example, the Mida quest isn't that hard to do (PL 260 recommended and a lot of fun!) and the Mida you get will be VERY high level. Mine was something like 278. Just that one drop boosted my other engrams significantly! Do heroic public events and Cayde's stashes in order to get exotic engrams, which will then use this new light level and drop even higher. Once you get over 270, I think blues start dropping higher and you can infuse all the purple items you prefer using. Stick with it, you'll get there soon!. Really, why?Did you do the exotic weapon quests?
They drop a secondary an elemental around 272 if you are 265, then the exotic primary Kinetic weapon dropped at 282. The second one dropped at 288 for me.Also you should have saved the milestones that reward 'powerful gear' until you are 265, then you can blast way into 270+Somehow I went from 220 to 282 in about 8 hrs of playing. Then I started a second character, because I had already completeted the milestones for the first, and got the 2nd to lvl 20 in about 5hours with a buddy and XP booster from PopTart (it took FIVE days to come in). Within 3 hours of being lvl 20, I was back up to 278 or something on my second character (because of timing the milestones) and I havent even touched the exotic quests yet.EDIT: Also if you join ANY clan and get 5k exp for them, you get ANOTHER powerful gear upgrade, PER character. Definitely join a clan. I saved the Milestones I could til I was around 260 because I started getting nothing better from public events and lost sectors.I did the Mida quest when I was around 265 because, again, hit a wall. That got me a 283 Mida.
How many other Exotic quests are there?I started a new character last night because I want to have a Titan as a support player (currently I'm a Hunter). Used a Pop Tart XP boost and got to lvl 15 in 2 hours. I'm attempting to get to lvl 20 before I finish the campaign because I've read the exotic you get at the end levels with you.
But I'm a bit hesitant to drop some of my high PL gear onto the new Titan after the campaign after hearing some people getting low PL 'powerful engrams' on their secondary characters.Edit: Also, is there a useful site for finding clans? I'd love to find a west coast, casual players clan, but not sure how to go about it.
